SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION IN THE OPEN DAY OF ANOIA MOTOR CAMPUS
Last Saturday saw the Open Day in which nearly 200 people took part, including several business representatives from the motoring, renewable-energies, and sports sectors, as well as the institutions that have supported the project.
The event began with a guided tour of the facilities led by Josep Centelles and Imma Soteras, who accompanied those present around the various areas that had been fitted out for the occasion and that displayed the versatility and modularity of the facilities.
The visit was followed by a conference on “Las interioridades del mundo del motor: un mundo de competición e innovación” (“The Ins and Outs of the Motoring World: a World of Competition and Innovation”) led by the sports journalist Francesc Rosés. The conference led on to interventions by the institutions, wherein the Mayor of Castellolí, Joan Serra, remarked: “Castellolí can now respond to a whole range of motoring needs, in terms of business as well as leisure activities. “ The Mayo of Igualada, Marc Castells, added: “This complex will make Anoia District a European reference point for the motoring world.” The Director General for Industry of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, Antoni María Grau, explained: “The motor industry has a long tradition in Catalonia. It is a successful industry that supports the whole industrial ecosystem, from design to manufacturing.”
The vent was brought to a close by the Chairperson of Consell Comarcal del Anoia, Xavier Boquete, who remarked that the building “had been built with the labour of business in the sector so that it adapts to their technical requirements”, and placed the facilities at the service of the country.
