ADAPTING THE BOX TO WORK WITH NATURAL GAS AND LPG
We recently completed work on adapting Workshop Box 1 for use to work on vehicles fuelled using compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The adaptation work was carried out by a firm that specialised in that type of project, and jointly co-ordinated by the Technical Department of Anoia District Council.
The facility gives the Campus a differentiating technical feature with respect to other facilities that are similar to ours. It enables companies in the motor trade to study and work on vehicles that can then be tested on the track of Parc Motor Castellolí, which is a little over 500 metres from the Campus.
The adaptations are comparable to the ones carried out in the workshops of leading companies in the automotive sector. They enable technicians to work in complete safety, tranquillity, and comfort (the boxes have mobile lifts to raise vehicles 190 cm off the ground, thus enabling work to be done on the underside).
